Our daughter saw the cover of the Understand Your Icelandic Horse book which was on my computer desk, and said, "Hey, mom, why don't you grow your horse's manes out like that?"
The picture on the cover of the book has a bay with a really long and full mane. I told her that my horses don't have that kind of mane; she says, "Sure, they all do". No.... they don't. Mine don't. It looks nice, but my Icelandics just don't have long manes! Check out this mane: http://encarta.msn.com/media_461569028_761562654_-1_1/icelandic_pony.html Reminds me of Donna's Icelandic, Zipper.
