Google NESR, the rescue site for English Shepherds and you can learn all about them. They are a pretty rare breed and not AKC but have two or three breed registries. They come in sable, black and white, tricolor, and black and tan, my favorite. They really can herd, do agility and be a great house pet.the only problem is that they are so smart that you can find them ruling you if you are not careful. As Alistair says, he cannot imagine life without as least one.
