WE use hoof armor in our farrier business. It is a good product if put on correctly. You must follow the instructions perfectly. We have used it to help a horse transition to barefoot...for horses with tender soles...works great if you shoe in the front, you might be able to use this product for the hinds...it last about 4 weeks on our volcanic terrain, I am thinking it would last longer in normal conditions. 2 people for the process is very helpful, and a good horse willing to keep the foot up....
