That's sort of an odd choice of words. Compared to what? Tosca is reactive when compared to Twist and Yrsa (and she may never make a great therapy horse) but compared to Hunter and a few of the Arabs we ride with, she's barely awake. I love Bibi's eye and would bring her home just for her expression. If I were placing her, I'd consider sending her off without registration papers just so that she didn't enter someone's brrodmare band. And of course that would be if she really has no intermediate gait and really is too reactive to be safe. I bought a little Appaloosa mare when she was 8 months old and kept her until her death of old age and never EVER consider breeding her because at 8 months, she had already learned to flip over backward when pressure was applied to her poll - long story - but we didn't want her to hurt anyone and we didn't want to produce any more just like her.
