Terry, the hauler, had a similarly narrow saddle on his trailer (intended for another horse) when he brought Eitill to me. He shook his head when he showed it to me, and dubbed it a "greyhound saddle", saying about the only creature he could imagine wearing it would be a greyhound. I think we've adopted that term on the list since then. That saddle would have been WAY too narrow for Svertla when she arrived here as a starvation case, about a 1.5 on the body condition score. Svertla is a smaller, narrower than average Icelandic too. Karen Thomas, NC
