I'm not a Myler fan and neither are my horses, but an endurance rider I rode for used one on her gelding. He was generally well mannered and quiet, but at the start of a ride with other horses he got a bit fresh. Nothing like a horse who's fit for 75 mile rides. ;) When the bit was used on the snaffle rings it had little leverage, and the noseband/curb only comes into play if you have a bit of pull on the reins. On the lower rings there is more leverage and the curb/noseband comes into play quicker, but the combo was nice for him because once he calmed down I could go back to the snaffle ring. Hers had three smaller rings and a billy allen type mouthpiece. It looks mean, but it really didn't seem to be a terrible bit in use.
