You want to talk redneck wedding ... when our daughter Jennie was being married, our bridge had washed out. The authorities wouldn't let us replace it until after the steelhead had finished spawning. The only way the folks on our side of the bridge could get in and out was to wade through an old irrigation flume to where we'd left our cars on the other side. All our kids had rubber boots and flashlights they used to get out to the school bus. The morning of Jennie's wedding, we all looped our gowns over our arms and hiked out the road and over the flume to where her car was parked. She was near tears and claimed "No one has ever had to do this to get married!" Nancy
