reason it came to mind, my friend Sylvia gave her old horse Luke with navicular away to a good loving home recently rather than put him down and tho she is dying to go see him she is resisting the urge. We are going to see him next month I think. The new home had adopted a horse before and after TWO YEARS the former owner reappeared and wanted him back! They did not argue, feeling like they were doing the right thing to give him back, but when they took Luke it was with a promise that Sylvia would never ever want him back. Now she has a new baby mule and couldnt afford Luke if she WANTED him, but she said if she goes over there Luke will think she has come to take him home and it might make him upset. Janice-- even good horses have bad days sometimes.
