I've been reading everyone's posts for quite some time now with great
interest. After owning my Icey gelding for 3+ years, I have finally
decided that he and I really are not an ideal match. He's my first
horse (and only horse), and I was somewhat naive when I bought him.
He needs a better rider than I am. I'm 56 years old, and would be
better off with a very laid-back, bombproof kind of horse. The reason
I'm sending this post to the group is because I'd rather sell him to
someone who knows Icelandics, and more importantly, to someone who
cares about horses. The members of this group seem to care greatly
about the welfare of horses in general. I appreciate your disdain for
tight nose bands, harsh bits, poorly fitting saddles, etc.
If any of you are interested, or know of someone who would be
interested in a 15 yr old, drop-dead gorgeous, Icelandic gelding,
who's never had the summer itch, please contact me privately for more
info.
Thanks,
