Yes, what I'd call a "true black" for lack of a better term. He's Landi's half brother, and Kola's full brother, and they are both that color too. The only thing different is that he has a lot of "roan" around his muzzle - I don't know what's up with that. None of my other dark foals have had this. I need to see if I can catch it in a picture, but he actually has a faint snip-like mark - almost like a short, low blaze - in the "roan-ish" coloring. I have no idea if this is transient or if it's permanent. I would tend to think transient, except that Cali (his great aunt) has a lot of "roan-like" markings on her face, including an odd, low-placed star. Note to color purists: I know this isn't true roan, but it's the best way I can think to describe it via e-mail.
