I'm so, so sorry to report. Debbie has passed away.
So incredibly heartbreaking.

I have resisted wearing helmuts for years....I rode western with my cowboy hat,
and a riding helmut just did not fit into my scenario. Well these past couple
of months I wear one now. I bought one that is so comfy that I forget I have
one on. The light ones are great, mine is black and cost about $85 or so,
troxell brand. I had a cheap one the Spirit model, but it did not fit
perfectly so I bought a really nice one with a system that really conforms to
my head.....I put it on every time now.
A friend of mine had a very bad accident on her MFT last december and she
shattered her pelvis and broke the lower parts of her spine. She hit her head
when her and her horse came down on the ground, she was riding her helmet, it
saved her life.....it is now April and she is finally walking around now. Her
head is fine and her body is healing.
