Yes. Get your fountain going, buy some nice lilies in submerged pots,
get some floating water hyacynths or other natural water cleaner type plant
and you'll be in business. If your pond is in full sun, you'll want the
floating plants / water lilies for shade for the fish as well.
In the winter, if you don't want to bring the fish in, you *might be* able
to run a "bubbler" to keep one spot of the pond ice-free. We did that for
several years and over-wintered our fish and lilies in our pond. BUT --
we probably have milder winters than you do, so maybe that isn't an option
up there.
We have places near us that specialize in water gardens / gardening. I'm
betting you do too. They can advise you what to do in your climate for all
four seasons to maintain your pond.
