We ride past a lot of alpacas regularly. When horses see them for the
first time they are always fascinated but rarely scared. Sort of
"bloody funny sheep they have here in Wales...."

Having watched these alpacas grazing habits for a while, it's
noticeable they graze more like horses, leaving rough areas where they
leave their droppings, rather than like sheep whose droppings wash in
really quickly and who leave a field nice and tidy. I think if I had
alpacas on my land I would make sure to chain harrow regularly to
prevent areas of rank, coarse grass developing.
