Having watched these alpacas grazing habits for a while, it's noticeable they graze more like horses, leaving rough areas where they leave their droppings, rather than like sheep whose droppings wash in really quickly and who leave a field nice and tidy. I think if I had alpacas on my land I would make sure to chain harrow regularly to prevent areas of rank, coarse grass developing.
