Ouch. That must've hurt! Speaking of geese--we had 2 couples of Canadian Geese, now only one couple and a single. I don't know what happened to the singles partner but the single follows the couple everywhere and they ignore the single and keep their distance. I was reading that Canadian Geese mate for life and feel sorrow when their mate dies. V
