Lorraine, I'm sorry, but you would not believe the crap trainers have told me. Does your trainer know what gait is? Do they know anything at all about gaited horses?? I wish you could go to a Liz clinic!! and even if he does happen to have no tolt, I bet he can do SOMETHING. Even my horribly pacey old jaspar does a to-die-for-smooth stepping pace and glorius canter. And Tivar does a prancey-flashy very energetic and pleasant smooth foxwalk. I'm sure you can find something in there somewhere with Dagur... but if your trainer knows nothing about gait and is specifically looking for a rack and the horse does something else, then they could just be ignorant about whats really there!
