its like the field trial "auction" on thurs nite to raise money for the quail club. 100.00 bridles go for 250.00. and what does the money go for? A new tucker saddle and scabbord, a tucker bridle a trophy, three meals catered by a restuarant for four days...people so rich they have hired lackeys to tote their coffee to them and untack their horse like they were scarlet in gone with the wind or something... sometimes they auction off a caribbean cruise. My friend Gordon doesnt ordinarily drink but someone at the auction offered him some "punch" and it was hawaiian punch with everclear alcohol in it and he bid 500.00 on the caribbean vacation, all smiles, thinking he was doing a great thing, starting the bid off, all happy and grinning. and then he won and jumped up and yelled "ARE you CRAZY I dont have five hundred dollars!!!" hahaha that was so funny. He was so comically dismayed everyone laughed so hard they let him off the hook ... Janice even good horses have bad days sometimes.
