That's like saying cats must be hard to keep as pets because they eat mice and 
birds ;-) Hedgehogs eat quite happily cat food but special hedgehog food also 
exists. At least here in Finland the pet hedgehogs are not the same hedgehogs 
that run around wild, the most common pet hedgehogs here are African pygmy 
hedgehog and Long-Eared hedgehog.
