AMen, (we are a real tent revival meeting this morning :) and if you are a breeder and surely, have some regard and admiration for the breed you are breeding... why breed for something that doesnt match all the great characteristics of the breed to begin with? Why? Follow the money,. They are breeding for show horses. and in the process systematically breeding out natural gait, genetic hardiness and vigor, health, good feet, all the things that attracts us to icelandics in the first place. oooooh but gimme a silver dapple black with a long long neck and fine boned body that can do a flying pace as long as it has on weighted boots, and I am in BUSINESS, as in money.
