This weekend I rode with a man who had not crupper or breastcollar on his mare. And to top it off...you could see sunlight between her belly and her cinch.
There's an endurance story about a guy who came into the vet check with girth galls and left his girth there, completing the ride without any cinch/girth at all. I hate to think how that saddle might have felt on his horse's back, but maybe it fit like a glove and never moved? Nancy
