My black mare Kolskor suffered badly last year. This year at the first sign, I started her on flax meal and Duralactin, a whey protein that seems to work on about half of the horses. The difference is amazing. No itching and a glistening black coat. Thank the horse god. The midges still want to bite her in the ears so I put a few drops of eucalyptus oil on her ears.
