We have wooden fences and rails up everywhere...and putting the rails down has not encouraged anyone to chew anything they're not supposed to. The only thing I'll see Kria chew on besides the poplar rails is the rather soft fencing slats we've made our wind fence out of. But she'll just decide to chew one board to pieces and then we'll replace it and she'll move on to another one. So far this has only meant replacing one or two boards a year, so she's not a maniac about her bad habit... Wanda
