I'm assuming Icelandics aren't that common in your area. I remember once
when I was out ditch riding with Lord, a woman drove by and came
 to a screeching halt.

I had a terrific 14.1 h driving pony once. I drove him down our 1/2 mile
dirt driveway and then along the shoulder of a paved county road so that I
could access a second long dirt road that runs along the river.

A woman passed me in her car, slammed on her brakes, came backing down the
road at me and said, "Who are you and what are you doing?" I thought I was
about to have some sort of nasty confrontation, but she was actually in the
process of taking driving lessons with her Fjiord (sp?) and was looking for
a cart and harness for him. Since then, she has accomplished all of that
and also managed to have a very bad carting accident at a clinic she was
driving in. She and the horse are both okay, but I guess they really scared
everyone.
