he is so smart. we went on a ride one day that was I swear was the
ride from hell, one of the worst i have EVER been on. I had not been
told it was a ride allowing wagons so was all on clay roads through
rural neighborhoods. Then the trail bosses got lost. on ROADS.
Roads with signs for godssakes. It went on so long I got afraid. It
was supposed to be over by ten AM, we had started at 8, and it was
noon, then one oclock, teev was drenched in sweat and I just thought
he was suffering and I was getting upset. I was with my autistic
friend and she had started in griping, very loudly and rudely, and it
had ostracised us from the group. They wanted nothing to do with us
and I was feeling burdened and scared and my friend just getting
frantic and so rude, saying things loudly like "WHAT KINDA DUMB-___
doesnt know HOW TO GET BACK. anyway. They decided to go back to the
main asphalt highway to find the way back. oh my gosh it was so HOT
and they then learned we were an extra couple of miles more to go and
that was just HORRIBLE to me. Then the trail bosses said, lets all
just get off here and rest a minute and relax and take a long long
break. It was like one oclock and i knew it was dang sure not gonna
get any cooler but what to do, go on and risk heat exhaustion? The
garss beside the road was very lush green grass and the horses started
eating it like pigs. My friend said LETS GO BACK. so we just left.
I just felt Teev was gonna colic or founder eating that rich grass and
so overheated. We got about a half block and saw a pig trail thru the
woods and Teev just broke into an immediate trot and went up it. and
I thought, well, its shady at least and maybe leads to a shortcut to
the other road. yep, you got it, that pig trail took us to the back
of the property where we were camped. Shady the whole way, and was
only 30 minutes til we were back. So he will help you out if you get
lost,...
