I was out by myself with Tosca this morning and we came across a doe and a fawn so young it was still wobbly on its feet. The doe wanted to run off, but the baby was just not ready to do much running. We tried to get around them, but the tiny little thing just wasn't ready to climb up a bank with mom. I decided it was a once-in-a-summer event and turned back the way we'd come to give them some space. Baby will be running around scaring horses next time we ride that direction.
