It stormed all day today. at one point i thought we were having a
tornado. My boys were out in front and got started playing and it was
so awesome to watch when they do that... i can hardly break away to
go get the camera, i want to watch all the little subtle wartime
maneuvers. This was the first time Trausti played with them. He
hooked up with Nasi and curly ray with fox as their fearless leader.
Only everytime they heard the thundering hoofs of the mccurdy herd
coming fox would lose courage and go yiiii and do a sorta goose step
behind the cotton candy stand and nasi and trausti would be on their
own. Curly ray would gallop through trees so close the big horses
couldnt follow his path and nasi and trausti just started runnig and
didnt quit. They must have run the entire property at a hard gallop a
full ten minutes. I was so scared one would hurt himself, especially
trausti not knowing the obstacles like the others. it was breath
taking. I laughed so hard at fox tho, he would hide in bushes he
thought concealed his whole body and you could just see him plain as
day. I was also relieved to see the mccurdys chase trausti and when
they caught him just sparred with him in a play fight and thundered
off, back to sabatoge them on their next circle round the path. When
Trausti and nasi and fox and curly came through the woods you could
hear trees crashing and then curly would come running out all high
headed, he would do lead changes. gosh he is funny to watch. anyway.
we wre supposed to have a photo session at the conservation area
today but it was canceled due to rain. It was a nice day, and
thinking of Wanda and her Gusti, I am so grateful to God that my herd
is safe and happy and no one is sick! but even if they were, i would
know they had a great day today. i appeciated them more today,
thinking of wanda and her loss and grief.
