My caregiver had a conflict this morning. It was hot and smokey from the
fires in Northern California and no one was riding out so I finally decided
that I probably should take the opportunity to ride Tosca in the ring this
morning.

I was amazed at how well she did. I opened and closed the gate from her
back coming and going. She went over a row of poles someone had left out
and weaved her way down a line of cones a few times. She walked, trotted
and gaited on the rail, did nice up and down transitions, backed readily.
And she's one fit little gal. I clipped her this morning, her chest and
around her flanks, but she's so well shed out that you can hardly see where
I clipped and there was about 1/2 a cup of shaved hair on the ground to
clean up, even with her bridle path and chin whiskers.
