Probably a bit of both. My guys come racing in from the pasture for their cup of complete feed (pellets)...with a bit of flax sprinkled in it. I usually have loose horse mineral in a pan for them. I remember when I first placed it out the herd ate many panfulls of it. I think I went through half a bag in a week. After that initial frenzy, they just nibble at it now and then. There isn't that frantic gobbling that there was at first....at least with the mineral. They still like their complete feed. Wanda -- Thoughts become things...
