i think they know when they have to do something like this! Jaspar
always dragged his heels when i would try and ride him alone. I
actually just quit because there was no joy in it at all. but when
someone fell and broke an arm and we had to run for help he cantered
the whole way and even ran up onto some people's wooden deck when I
urged him closer so I could dismount. Under normal circumstances that
horse would never canter ten minutes by hiimself unless I beat him I
thought, and to walk up five steps onto a wooden deck... that would
have taken months of training I would have thought... but its like
they sense its an extraordinary circumstance and they step up to the
plate! I think it shows Whisper is a horse you can rely on in a real
pinch.
