My riding friend went off camping this weekend with 27 other women horse .
There was a search going on for a downed ultralight pilot and the rescue
personnel headquartered their search efforts right at the horse camp where
they were staying. Here's her report:

I'm sure you heard all the ruckus about the search and rescue party at Lily
Glen? Well, they were about 100 yards from the horse corrals, landing and
taking off all day Thursday and Friday. John has us on DVD on Channel 5
news Thursday night coming in off the trail with a helicopter landing. .

We had probably 20 helicopter landings and take-offs in the two days, plus
20 or so ATVs and horseback search and rescue. The horses were amazing with
all that ruckus. We actually wanted to go out with the horseback search
and rescue, but they screwed around until they finally went out about 7:30
in the evening and we didn't want to do that after dark. If they had gone
out during the day we would have gone.
