This has to be coming from the use of high phases and too much "dominance". The program, in it's original form, produced some of the most supple horses around. In regard to collection, to me, the program is not designed to address collection. >> Discipline= from the word disciple to follow an example, not punishment. I suggested that they might want to discipline him (ya know, shape him into socially acceptable behavior :-)), and the father exclaimed "I'm NOT going to hit my kid!". Well, that's not what I was suggesting. Because of his upbringing, he had no idea how to properly parent by way of discipline and shaping, so he took the opposite path and went to allowing and accepting any behaviors.
