My point is that most tack doesn't come in an "Icelandic" size...and
Icelandic's DO come in various sizes. The point I tried to get across earlier
is: when in doubt, try an "Arab" sized breast collar FIRST, versus a horse
sized one. In fact, I mostly use Arab/cob halters and bridles too, although
sizes (just as with human clothing) doesn't always run true, and of course,
there are exceptions. The "arab" sized breastcollars I have from Moss Rock
fit horses from Tivar/Trausti sized to Melnir sized - and I think they fit
Falki too, but I can't remember. Sina and Melnir can use smaller tack, but I
like for my stuff to be versatile.

There's no way that anyone would describe Sina as "refined". She's a TANK,
just a short one at 13.0H, but she can use the smallest breastcollar, an 18"
girth and some pony-sized halters/bridles. The upside is that she can use
most Arab/cob sized stuff "off the rack" too...just, as Penny said, with "room
to grow."

I just think it's very limiting (and can be expensive) to think of having to
buy "Icelandic" sizes when it's USUALLY not necessary.
