Hi there,

On an setup with distributed monitoring, how does this work with notifications? I have a Datacenter in Duesseldorf and some Racks in Shanghai, Frankfurt, Houston and another locations with offices in Duesseldorf, Mallorca and Leipzig. In the datacenter in Dusseldorf is the Icinga-Master node with SMS, email and web frontend. In the racks and offices only icinga-nodes would running in the future as core-installations. What should I do, or how I could handle notifications from the cores from the different locations, that they will been shipped via the master in Duesseldorf only? That's one of the points they I currently don't have understood. Thank you for help or some examples

Your master endpoint(s) should have the notification feature enabled, which will trigger notifications for any checkresults replicated from remote checker zones (and their endpoints). All other remote zone endpoints should have the notification feature disabled, unless you would want local zone notifications too.
