Hello, I wanted to ask about the "zone" attribute of host object, for example. This attribute is not a host object specific, you can set it also for other objects, but that doesn't matter now…
What the attribute is for? What it does? First I thought it's an equivalent of putting a host definition into a zones.d/zone/file.conf. I thought I can keep the configuration somewhere in objects.d for example, but with the "zone" attribute, it means it will be synced to the zone. Nope, doesn't work this way, I've tried…many hours of finging out what's wrong, why the synchronization doesn't work, I've practiced SSL stuff very well :) I got on the wrong path, because I'm using the chef-icinga2 cookbook and there seem to be no way how to put the config files to zones.d directory, the cookbook doesn't support it, or I don't know how to do it. Can you explain the zone attribute for me, please? Thanks!
