The Icinga 1 documentation gives a clear explanation that a transition from a non-OK to an OK state will be a HARD recovery in a single polling interval (the max_check_attempts and retry_interval are not used).

In Icinga2, is there any way to force a recovery from a HARD non-OK state to be a SOFT OK until the max_check_attempts has occurred, so that it works the same way as it does in the other direction?
