I guess yes it would be a minimalistic statistical approach, however we have found it very effective as we are still running Icinga 1.x in prod (trying to move to Icinga2 soon but waiting on our sysadmins to finish Redhad 7 integration with Satellite)
In our setup I'm at 8,370 hosts right now (in my icinga2 setup) so when an outage occurs, the down/unreachable host list gets quite long, that is why we really like that blocking outage page, it really gives you the top level issues. Also, with as many hosts as we have, the status map doesn't work, it always just times out! I do have host dependencies setup in Icinga2 so all relationships should be there. I am populating my config from our CMDB the same way I am in Icinga 1.x - Zachary On Fri, May 27, 2016 at 4:52 PM, Michael Friedrich < [email protected]> wrote: > > > > Am 24.05.2016 um 15:43 schrieb Zachary McGibbon < > [email protected]>: > > > > Does anyone know if there is a search filter that can be used in > Icingaweb2 that would give similar results to the old Network/Blocking > Outages in Icinga 1.x? > > Had to read the sourcecode to remember what this one does. > https://github.com/Icinga/icinga-core/blob/master/cgi/outages.c > > Isn't that a minimalistic statistical approach from a status map showing > parent/child relations? > > Kind regards, > Michael > > > > > Thanks! > > _______________________________________________ > > icinga-users mailing list > > [email protected] > > https://lists.icinga.org/mailman/listinfo/icinga-users > > -- > Michael Friedrich, DI (FH) > Senior Developer > > NETWAYS GmbH | Deutschherrnstr. 15-19 | D-90429 Nuernberg > Tel: +49 911 92885-0 | Fax: +49 911 92885-77 > CEO: Julian Hein, Bernd Erk | AG Nuernberg HRB18461 > http://www.netways.de | [email protected] > > ** OSBConf 2016 - September - osbconf.org ** > ** OSMC 2016 - November - netways.de/osmc ** > _______________________________________________ > icinga-users mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.icinga.org/mailman/listinfo/icinga-users >
