Hello Thomas,

I hope you are enjoying diner.

Quoting Thomas Gelf <thomas.g...@netways.de>, Mon, 29 May 2017:

Did you try to define an import source fetching apache::vhost? I'd then
create a sync rule creating single services from that source. When doing
so please follow the host!service convention when defining the "key"
column. I have no Puppet environment to play with at disposition right
now, so no practical example - sorry.

Ok, yes that is where I got stuck, and again, with your help I feel I'm a bit
further in the right direction, but still stuck

More specific the apache::vhost resource its uniq key *for puppet* is the title.
However using that key doesn't work as every default apache server has
a apache::vhost resource with title default (there is also default-ssl if ssl is enabled).

So I would need to have a modifier that computes something like:

${certname}_vhost_${title}

Maybe I'm overlooking it, but I couldn't understand which modifier in the drop down would make me able to do that.

I tried referencing ${certname} but that just put '${certname}'.

I'll provide I screenshot for the docs when I get it to work! ;)

Thanks,

Rudy
