it's day 2 of messing around with NSCA in icinga. I'm pretty sure yesterday i had a passive check working but today after a compile I've been having problems.
Anyone have NSCA working with icinga? here's my post compile output for nsca, i used *** Configuration summary for nsca 2.7.2 07-03-2007 ***: General Options: ------------------------- NSCA port: 5667 NSCA user: icinga NSCA group: icinga-cmd I did this with ./configure --with-nsca-user=icinga --with-nsca-grp=icinga-cmd as for these do i need to set them too? --bindir=/usr/local/icinga/ --libexecdir=/usr/local/icinga/ --datadir=/usr/local/icinga/ --sysconfdir=/usr/local/icinga/ my big issue is in /usr/local/icinga/etc/nsca.cfg changing to nsca_chroot=/var/run/icinga/rw I get Nov 2 14:16:31 icinga nsca[8702]: can not chdir into chroot directory: No such file or directory I also changed command_file=/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd to command_file=/usr/local/icinga/var/rw/icinga.cmd and alternate_dump_file=/usr/local/icinga/var/rw/nsca.dump I've read though the NSCA doc but it's not super helpful for setting it up in icinga.
