idoutils and icinga-web are not necessarily installed on the same host. 
in our setup, multiple clients use a single database where a single web 
sources from.
so obviously it's recommended to have icinga core and idoutils 
installed, but not a mandatory requirement then. although that depends 
on the guys building the packages then. i would have to rebuild the rpm 
in that case, removing the dependency.

#939 was not yet fixed, thanks for the pointer. version update against 
1.3.0 is pending (see git).

there are. but to provide such information where everyone can 
contribute, a common wiki solution will be necessary. that's one of the 
current things in progress.
