Hi all,
I do not want to hijack this thread, but I am experiencing the same
problem. Attached, you will find the icinga.cfg, idomod.cfg,
ido2db.cfg, icinga.log and ido2db.debug files.
My Icinga 1.3 runs on an up to date Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64, configured
according to the official 1.0.2 documentation and then updated to 1.3.

what does this tell you?

SQL> select * from icinga_dbversion;

I have only one instance of ido running:

<snip>
root@hf-srv-mon-001:/usr/local/icinga/etc# ps aux | grep ido
icinga   12471  0.0  0.0  53916  1224 ?        Ss   08:19   0:00
/usr/local/icinga/bin/ido2db -c /usr/local/icinga/etc/ido2db.cfg
root     31708  0.0  0.0   7628  1004 pts/3    S+   08:58   0:00 grep
--color=auto ido
root@hf-srv-mon-001:/usr/local/icinga/etc#
<snip>

In the past, I sometimes experienced such errors, but they could be
resolved by stopping and starting the icinga and ido services.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work.

Any comments to find a solution would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Don’t forget the broker module link:

broker_module=/usr/local/icinga/bin/idomod.o
config_file=/usr/local/icinga/etc/idomod.cfg

Uncomment it.

Subject: [icinga-users] Still unable to connect to data sink.

Hello,

     I followed the instructions on configuring ido2db to the T I thought.
When I goto start icinga and ido2db I found the error in the icinga.log file
constantly appearing.

[1300118400] idomod: Still unable to connect to data sink. 14494 items
lost, 5000 queued items to flush

I'm not sure what to look at from here. Any ideas?

-Rick
