Hello --
I was able to get JasperServer 4.5.0 installed on our Icinga 1.7 system. I am
trying to get the IDO connection set up in order to have access to
the generated reports, but I am having problems with the connection. The
procedure that I am following to accomplish this task is from the URL:
I am at the Configuration step, and it is here where I am unable to make the
connection. The jasperserver is using the bundled tomcat and postgresql
servers, while the icinga and icinga-web applications are using a mysql server
that was installed on the host system. The names of the respective databases
are icinga, and icinga-web, while the operating system for the server is the
CentOS 6.2 64-bit distribution.
The IDO driver information that I entered is the following:
"com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"
The URL that was entered is as follows:
"jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/icinga"
The username and password were not modified.
What do I need to do in order to get this component to work?
Thanks.

Hello --
I made some progress in correcting the issue. The hosts file had an incorrect
entry in it, and that appears
to have been the problem here. The server comes up, but I am now having
problems making the ido conection
to work.
Anyone have an idea on this?

Subject: [icinga-users] Problem installing jasperserver
Hello --
I am going through the motions of installing jasperserver onto our icinga 1.7
system. The operating system for the
server is the centos 6.2 64-bit distribution. I am following the procedure that
is outlined at the following URL:
https://wiki.icinga.org/display/howtos/Setting+up+Icinga+with+Reporting
My intention is to use the bundled apache tomcat and postgresql servers. After
running the wget command, and
changing the permissions on the downloaded file, I ran the following command:
sudo ./jasperreports-server-cp-4.5.0-linux-x64-installer.run
I followed the instructions listed in the procedure, and did the installation.
When the installation was complete,
the following error message appeared on-screen:
Warning: Problem running post-install step. Installation may not complete
correctly
Error running /opt/jasperreports-server-cp-4.5.0/apache-ant/bin/ant import-ce
-DimportFile=install_resources/export/js-catalog :
BUILD FAILED
/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-4.5.0/buildomatic/bin/import-export.xml:252: The
following error occurred while executing this line:
/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-4.5.0/buildomatic/bin/import-export.xml:158: Java
returned: 255
I continued with the procedure to see what other issues would occur. When I ran
the command syntax shown below:
sudo ./configure --with-jasper-server=/opt/jasperreports-server-cp-4.5.0
sudo make install
The following error, shown in abridged form, occurred:
make[1]: *** [js-import] Error 255
make: *** [install] Error 2
What steps do I need to take in order to get the jasperserver to install, and
work properly with Icinga?
Thanks.
