Hi,

I hope this is the right place to ask questions about the Business
Process Cronk.

I am using Icinga 1.7.1 with icinga-web, Nagios Business Addon 0.9.6 and
the Business Process Addon cronk 1.2.2.

Use:
I defined several business processes that are made up of other business
processes and finally the host status of network devices at the deepest
level. The configuration is generated with a script from a spreadsheet
and is not created using the Business Process Editor. However when I
load the configuration that is generated this way in the Editor and
click the "Show Config" button, it performs a syntax check on the
configuration and it says that it's "ALL FINE".

The Editor did not allow me to use Hoststatus and always requires a
Service, so I cannot use the Editor for this purpose anyway (the devices
are currently only checked for Hoststatus and have no services
associated with it.).

In the classic UI everything works OK.

Problem:
However in the icinga-web Business Process Overview I experience a
refresh of the overview every few seconds. The refresh in the cronk is
not enabled.
Sometimes it works OK, but most of the time I experience this undesired
refresh. If it however works without the refresh, it is persistent
behavior for a long time(days?). I tried to reproduce the steps when it
comes in a state of constant refresh from the good situation, but I
could not. Then next time it suddenly has the problem again and it
persists for a long time (days).

Everytime the information is refreshed, the items that I opened are
collapsed again to the initial view. This makes the Overview actually
unusable when the refresh problem happens.

I do not know where to look for troubleshooting. I did notice that the
refresh always seems to coincide with this type of request:

[10:39:07.852] GET
https://10.8.0.1//nagiosbp/cgi-bin/nagios-bp.cgi?outformat=json&conf=vpn1&_dc=1342773547450&node=xnode-11000

[HTTP/1.1 200 OK 1755ms]

Where do I need to look further to find out what is causing this
problem, and how do I setup adequate logging to see where and why things
are going wrong in this case.

Thanks,

Hans Feringa
