Setup: Icinga 1.6.1, CGIs only (we have IDO running but not used yet). We have a few hosts setup to be viewed by their 'owner' (customer), but we also have service checks that should not be seen by them. Those checks are for internal diagnostics only, but the owner is still seeing them.
We setup the contact ownership on host level, and have cgi.cfg allow a contact to 'view all services the host is auth'd for.' We override this at the service level by setting a different contact list there (without that user). But the user is still able to view it. I could use some clarification if this is the correct way of doing it, or just have all service checks set with contacts as well (slightly difficult but do-able). Or if we've run into a bug that the 1.7.x has fixed.
