Hi all, this is a nrpe pure question. Not sure if this list is the best one for this kind of questions but, as many of you have experience with this, maybe you could help me.
The host that runs icinga server is the same host that runs nrpe. I have some test which do a wget and depending on what they get they return exit code. wget uses --timeout option (5s) so, if it takes more than 5 seconds, I return an unknown and notification is not enabled for unknowns. NRPE has a timeout of 20 seconds. But yesterday I got some socket timeout, which makes me think that the problem is not with the check (cause it has its own timeout) but with icinga/nrpe pair. My question, how may I debug nrpe timeouts? A quick google search did not return any complete guide on howto do that... anyone could share his/her experiences?
