sounds like a bug. can you recheck with the current 1.8.0beta if that 
behaviour still exists?

if yes, please open an issue with your description and screenshots then.

so simply speaking, the cronk saves the filters, but not the grouping of 
columns.

against, can you recheck with current 1.8.0beta in order to verify that 
the problem persists?

if yes, an issue on the dev tracker might be more appropriate.
