Hey Daniel, > LConf sounds interesting. What is the easiest way to import an existing > hand-written icinga configuration into LConf?
Uhm there is no really static way of "importing"... But the idea is to *redesign* your config in a hierarchical way. Then several attributes can be set in the tree - with inheritance through the tree. Though there is a script called LConfImport.pl - which allows you to import the objects.cache file for testing. - But not recommended for a production setup. If you have a long list of hosts it might be useful to use some scripting to generate ldiff data to import it directly - the whole configuration is stored in LDAP. So its quite easy to work with the data directly. The output for Icinga that comes out of LConfExport is just based on hosts and their individual services. There is not hostgroup service grouping as common when configuring the plain text files.
