Uhm there is no really static way of "importing"...

But the idea is to *redesign* your config in a hierarchical way. Then
several attributes can be set in the tree - with inheritance through the
tree.

Though there is a script called LConfImport.pl - which allows you to
import the objects.cache file for testing. - But not recommended for a
production setup.

If you have a long list of hosts it might be useful to use some
scripting to generate ldiff data to import it directly - the whole
configuration is stored in LDAP. So its quite easy to work with the data
directly.

The output for Icinga that comes out of LConfExport is just based on
hosts and their individual services. There is not hostgroup service
grouping as common when configuring the plain text files.
