Yes, that is one possibility, but this is a static restriction.

 I want to be able to build filters on the fly by using the filter feature of 
the service status cronk, for example. But to my knowledge so far, I can use 
every filter criteria only once. Maybe I am wrong on that, and I have not 
discovered the right way yet.

The tackle cronk was something in the right direction. Has this made some 
progress lately?
