Hello,

Migrating from Nagios to Icinga so I'm hitting things fairly fresh. I'm
using icinga-web, and am seeing a problem on occasion that I don't know
how to troubleshoot.

Usually I am able to send commands no problem (for example an ack of a
down node), but on occasion I have these periods where I can't send any
commands. The exact error in the popup window is:

Error sending command:
Could not send command. Check if your webserver's user has correct
permissions for writing to the command pipe.

Also, I get a quick popup on the top right corner saying:

'Could not send the command, please examine the logs!'

So, I've watched /etc/icinga/icinga.log with tail -f when I get this
error, but nothing shows up there, so I tried debug 256 for commands,
then tail -f on icinga.debug and grep for 'acknowledge' or the name of
the host that I'm acknowledging, but still nothing. I even tried debug
-1 and grep for the host name or the word acknowledge, but I'm still not
catching anything.

Since the error is sporadic I would think this isn't a permissions issue.

Can anyone offer suggestions on what may be causing this or how to take
investigation further?

Regards,
Daniel
