1) look up to the service [0] related command object [1]
2) look at the command_line attribute [1]
3) verify that you understand the arguments given to the plugin
4) every plugin should provide "--help" allowing you to see its options 
and even understand them. check_ping is reasonably having that one.
5) manually test the plugin as icinga user. [2]

and 6) please read the documentation [3][4] thoroughly and *then* ask here.
