1) look up to the service [0] related command object [1] 2) look at the command_line attribute [1] 3) verify that you understand the arguments given to the plugin 4) every plugin should provide "--help" allowing you to see its options and even understand them. check_ping is reasonably having that one. 5) manually test the plugin as icinga user. [2] and 6) please read the documentation [3][4] thoroughly and *then* ask here. best regards, michael [0] http://docs.icinga.org/latest/en/objectdefinitions.html#service [1] http://docs.icinga.org/latest/en/objectdefinitions.html#command [2] https://wiki.icinga.org/display/testing/Icinga+Plugin+Testing [3] http://docs.icinga.org/latest/en/beginners.html [4] http://docs.icinga.org/latest/en/plugins.html#howto -- DI (FH) Michael Friedrich mail: michael.friedr...@gmail.com twitter: https://twitter.com/dnsmichi jabber: dnsmi...@jabber.ccc.de irc: irc.freenode.net/icinga dnsmichi icinga open source monitoring position: lead core developer url: https://www.icinga.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get 100% visibility into Java/.NET code with AppDynamics Lite!
