Hi list, I have been working on Wmi checks using check_wmi_plus.pl, and after some weird problems, the checks are working. So, now I encounter a new problem, that will be a show stopper if I can't solve it. After integrating the wmi checks, I noticed the service check latency becoming around 100s.
I suspected the wmi checks are causing it, so I split my icinga over 2systems, one containing our unix checks and accepting passive checks, and the other with the wmi checks. As expected the latency on the first server went down to 5s or less, but on the second system my latency goes up to 300s, with only about 200 checks on it (all wmi) Also 2 other problems have arisen: 1) how can I use ido2db on the second server to the same db, and 2) how can I use pnp4nagios on server 1 with the stats of the server 2 checks? Thx for any hints ;) Hans Scheffers AIX / Linux Systeembeheer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ October Webinars: Code for Performance Free Intel webinars can help you accelerate application performance.
