    If the relationships are well-established in the Icinga config
then the basic "Status Map" does OK with displaying it -- up to
a point.  There is a "tipping point" where the built-in "Status
Map" doesn't scale well, and at that point I've found that using
offboard tools, e.g. NagVis (which implies the use of IDO), does
vastly better than the internal tools.
